Monday January 29th: Patricia McDonald of the Scottish Qualifications Authority, spoke on assessment and exam provisions for candidates (secondary and college students) with disabilities and additional support needs. Patricia discussed this subject with particular reference to students with dyslexia.
Dyslexic students are entitled to special exam and assessment assistance, dependent on the severity of their dyslexia. The level of assistance is determined by the SQA after a recommendation from the school or college.

Monday 30th April 2007: Jack Black who is known throughout the world for his motivational techniques, delivered a presentation on motivational techniques that dyslexics could adopt. The audience were captivated by his thought-provoking techniques.
